IVF Success Rate?

Thinking of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), the first thing that comes to mind is its success rate. In this era of information, there are plenty and a variety of sources that will help you know the probable success rate of In Vitro Fertilization, better known as IVF.

Perception

General perception of people relating to IVF is that anything above 80 per cent is considered excellent while 50 per cent or below is thought out to be poor.

Reality

Reality against the general perception is that even a young and fertile woman has just 15 to 20 per cent chance to achieve pregnancy naturally in any month or menstrual cycle of the woman. A vast majority of women will have 20 to 35 per cent of success rate. And, women with highest chances of IVF   success have 40 per cent or higher success rate.

In general terms, besides clinical diagnosis, your IVF success is depended on many factors such as age, height, weight, body mass index, ovarian reserve tests, sperm count and quality, reproductive history, the number of pregnancies, miscarriages, et al.

Why New Life India Clinic?

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) success rate may also vary from clinic to clinic as it is influenced by different factors, such as entrance criteria for Assisted Reproductive Technology, patient medical characteristics and treatment approaches. Therefore, it is hard to compare success rates of different clinics.

Some clinics may have higher percentage of younger women undergoing IVF and of course, their success rate will be higher. At New Life India Fertility clinic, we offer our support to all intended patients regardless of their condition and its effect on statistics of success rates. For assuring accuracy, we recommend individualizing of any estimation of the expected success.
We are happy to declare that the high success rate (which is 60- 70 percent in case of Surrogacy and Egg Donation procedure) is one of the reasons New Life India is chosen by many patients from all around the world.

There are various factors that attribute to our high success rate. It is mostly achieved through keeping up with the latest technologies, developing skills and employing individualized approach and personalized treatment plans.

Despite the fact that our success rate is high, we cannot recommend 100% positive outcome with every case as there are many factors that can affect overall success of IVF treatment, such as:

(Please note that transferring more embryos at one time improves success rates, but also increases the risk of multiple pregnancies.)

  • Using fresh or frozen embryos;

  • Sperm quality;

  • Response to ovarian stimulation;

  • Quality control in the laboratory;

  • Skills and competencies of the IVF team;

All intended parents hope for success but we would like our patients to have realistic expectations.

The good news is that a lot of patients at our clinic usually get success at the very first attempt but we recommend to be prepared (emotionally and financially) for at least 3 fresh IVF attempts.

Obtaining an individualized assessment of your pregnancy prognoses is the first step of our IVF program.
